Following the passage of NAFTA, Highway 287 has become a well traveled route for the transportation industry. As owner of JMJ Trucking, Glenn Foster knew the importance of maintaining a transportation fleet; without requiring a driver to waste valuable time waiting in line. His vision of a clean, professional, efficiently run truck lube operation was a concept few lenders understood or were willing to take a gamble on.
With traditional financing options unavailable, Jerry Payne at Independent Bank in Irving, helped Glen meet the eligibility requirements of an SBA 504 loan. Glen’s 27 years experience in truck maintenance and driving gave him the expertise needed to design the facility which includes a driver’s lounge with data ports, fresh coffee, and access to clean showers. The 504 loan provided 1st Choice Lube with lower fixed rate expenses for the 3 acre facility. 1st Choice Truck Lube Center has already created 7 new jobs; and as business continues to grow, there are plans to expand with additional bays and a full size truck wash.
